Spring of 2012 - Day 53

April 8, 2012

Wonderful day the Lord has Risen! It was a great sunshiny morning. Very little wind. We were up & at them early, about 8, and ready for company.

Carol was having a frizzy hair day

Everyone got here between 11 & 12. Tom & Matt started the tri-tip. Tammy got the coloring and eggs out to color the Easter eggs.

The boys were ready to get started. They had a lot of fun. The boys were really having a lot of fun. Not many of the adults were coloring eggs, but they were having fun with Drake.

We had a great lunch. The food was great. Tri-tip, potato salad, & beans. Oh, and bread!

Then we brought out the Easter baskets. Everyone enjoyed them, even if I gave the wrong ones to some of them.

We, Vonna, Tammy, & I, took the boys for a walk while the teens & older hid the eggs.

When we got back the boys got right into it, looking for eggs everywhere. Alan III found the most, Jason next, then the two twins. They only missed one!

Jason found two of the prize eggs & Alan found one. It was a great time. It was a great place to come.

Dan, Jessica, & baby left about 3. Dan had to work on Monday. The teens took off for who knows where. The rest of us took off for the beach about 5 or so.

We got the kites out, played in the sand, and walked on the beach. And sat in the truck because the old people were cold.

Before sundown we headed for the ice cream shop. Grandma bought for everyone! We sat in the cars and watched the sunset.

The kids headed for beach & we headed home. We read, played Phase 10, which Tammy won both games, then off to bed.

A great day! We had a great time with the family!
