Spring of 2012 - Day 11

February 26, 2012 -

Up at about 6:30 this morning, made coffee and went outside to sit and read for a while. What a beautiful morning! Audrey and Davis came out to play and talk. Before I new it Audrey was bring me Hot Cakes. We sat outside and ate and talked (the whole family, not just the kids). Joe & Darla have done a great job with their kids.

Then we were off to Joshua Tree National Park for a tour of the Keyes Ranch. It is a ranch that the family came in about 1918 and sold it in 1968. It was very interesting. There was a lot of history in this short tour.  I could have spend the whole day looking and listening.  This is something we will go back to see.

This truck belonged to the County of San Bernardo.  They got it stuck in the sand, and Mr. Keyes asked if he got it unstuck, could he have it.  They laughed at him and said you will never do it, so sure you can have it.  It isn't stuck any more.
Happy Birthday to Ya'll

We got back to the Given Ranch at about 3:30 and JohnRachel, Joe, Steven, and Monique (a friend of Steven's) were all there. We had a great dinner and birthday party for John, Rachel, and Monique. We then told all good by and off to church to hear Steven and Monique sing.

A long, but perfect day.
