A little of a rush morning. Had muffins for breakfast, then Vonna and Michele were off for a day of shopping. Didn't get back home until about 7:30 or so at night.
Gary and I were off to Joshua Tree National Park again to take pictures with the new cameras. Had a great day. We went to the Mill. It was a location that Gary had seen pictures of, but had never gone. We saw an old house that was not on an maps that anyone had. We took some pictures there, and started walking again. Found an old truck, and walked some more. We finally came to the Mill. It is fenced off, but we got some great pictures of it. I found another old car under a tree and got some great pictures.
Then we started back to the truck. Gary said it will be easy if we follow the signs. We didn't. We thought we were going good until we got to a barbed wire fence. We had to find a way through. I told Gary that I was waiting for any old prospector and mule to come walking through any minute.
It was a great experience, and we made it back to the parking lot without a lot of problems. i think the 1.1 mile walk turned into a 1.5 mile or 2 mile. I was pretty tired, but we went to look at the campgrounds and a couple of locations to take pictures. We got home about 6 o'clock. ![]() |

Girls got home all excited. They had bags of stuff. After dinner Michele was showing Gary what she bought. She was more excited than I have seen her in years.
We had Freakadela for dinner - these are Danish meatballs from my boyhood and they brought back more memories.
A great day with more great memories. Still have a great week-end ahead of us.
