Spring of 2012 - Day 27

Had to rest before our trip

This was a travel day. We were both up early & had everything ready to go before 8:30. We had decided the night before that we would make one last stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast.

Off we went, Pam was going with us, Sonny was at work. We got a few miles down the road and traffic stopped. First time we saw any traffic on the freeway in Yuma. Big accident.

Anyway, we final got to breakfast. Pam had time to eat part of her breakfast before she said goodby & was off to work. We were finished soon & on the road by 10:15.

It was a good trip. One rest area stop & no wind. Arrived at South Carlsbad State Park at 3:00 or so. Michele & Gary were there & set-up. Gary helped me back in, & went to finish lunch. They had 2 squirrels finishing there lunch in the motorhome. Michele had closed door on way in & squirrels were going crazy until Gary opened door. The excitement of camping!

We got camp set-up & relaxed until dark & Gary had a campfire going. Perfect end to a great day!

I want to thank Pam & Sonny for a great time at their house. Thanks for everything. We are looking forward to our next Yuma trip.
