We woke up to the crashing of the waves. Vonna looked out the window from bed to the surf. It is a great place to be. We had breakfast and the sun was out. We got out the chairs & camera and spend most of the morning taking pictures, talking with Michele & Gary, & watching surfers, birds, squirrels, & the other things around.
Before we knew it, it was lunch time. We each went to our rigs & had lunch & rested. I fell asleep out in my easy chair, with feet up. Retirement is great.
Later in the afternoon Michele & Gary took a long walk. I rode my bike for a little while. Real helps loosen the knee. Then Vonna & I took a walk. There are about 10 million steps to get to the beach, then we walked down the beach, picking up shells & rocks & talking to people. Next time we will bring a sack. Had pork chops & salad for dinner. Then a campfire & hot chocolate to end the night.
This has been a hard week, with Mikaylah's birthday this Saturday, but God knew the place we needed to be before we did.
Oh my gosh this is so awesome. I can't tell you how happy I am that you are retired. You have arrived at the place you have worked for your whole life. The joy comes deep within me to see the pictures of you enjoying yourself. No more stress of driving to work everyday and the work load. You are truely enjoying your life to the FULLEST! I love you guys. The ocean is beautiful our very favorite place. The only way it would be better is if I was right there with you!
